Nearly a week after firing its beloved award winning rodeo coach for alleged misconduct, we were able to gain a vauge understanding as to why through an obtained letter from the Dean of the College of Agriculture Sciences & Natural Resources,

Through an Open Records Request to Texas Tech University, I was able to gain greater insight into the rodeo coach’s firings which stemmed from an internal investigation and audits that found:

  • Nearly $240K in 'questionable transactions'

  • Animal welfare neglect leads to the death of 99 TTU Rodeo animals

  • The reason for the dean’s decision to fire the coach

Texas Tech Rodeo coach calls allegations that led to firing 'baseless'

Texas Tech's recently fired rodeo coach responded to an A-J story citing documents from the university, which were obtained through an open records request.
